LIETI EVENTI

Credevo di trovare un poco di refrigerio almeno in montagna.
Ho resistito solamente tre giorni! La mia lunga vacanza l'ho interrotta per il troppo caldo e ... per una certa preoccupazione che non mi lasciava tranquilla. Sicuramente, quell'agitazione sarebbe scomparsa se fossi ritornata a casa ... forse non avevo contato bene i giorni,  forse come "primipara" avrebbe anticipato ... forse ... 
Me lo sentivo!  Difatti ... Il tempo di arrivare,  fare gli ultimi controlli ... e già era iniziato lo sgretolamento! E che travaglio lungo! Ad un certo punto sono dovuta intervenire con pezzuoline bagnate per aiutarla.
Poverina ... era riuscita a sporgere la testa e la vedevo ansimare. Si capiva che era spossata perchè per lunghi periodi si fermava per raccogliere le forze e i suoi occhietti si chiudevano.
Il travaglio è durato un giorno! Però che gioia ho provato quando è nata! Certamente la sua nascita è avvenuta anche per merito mio ... per aver costruito l'incubatrice, servita per tutto il tempo della sua gestazione!

La specie di queste tartarughe è: Testudo Hermanni Hermanni



Tra circa venti giorni, dovrebbero schiudersi le altre quattro uova, depositate l'11/7 e lasciate nell'incubatrice.

      Non capivo il riferimento ai piselli ...
      Quel letto di minuscole palline verdi, sul quale sono adagiate le uova, non è altro che sabbia colorata: quarzite. La sua funzione è solamente quella di permettere stabilità alle uova nel momento della schiusa, cioè l'uovo non deve cambiare posizione o capovolgersi mentre la tartarughina si sforza per nascere. (possono anche nascere di notte mentre non c'è nessuno che controlla.)
      ...No, ancora nessun nome, per ora solo numeri ...
